Experience the thrill of a post-winter vacation return with my Rabaconda Portable Tool Desk Challenge entry! Check it out here: https://grabcad.com/challenges/portable-bike-racer-tool-desk-challenge This innovative toolbox boasts four spring-operated legs for easy setup on uneven surfaces, as well as removable caster wheels that add convenience in workshops but can be removed for dirt race grounds. The casing is divided into three sections – the left holds lightweight tools, the middle accommodates heavy tools, spray cans, and paper rolls, while the right houses more lightweight items. A small drawer on the front side stores allen keys and other tiny parts. Additionally, a green compartment on the exterior allows for storage of unnecessary items from users or bikers. The toolbox will be constructed with plastic molding parts, necessary piping, and sheet metal. I aim to produce my design at a cost of around $80 per unit. Exciting features include a car carrier for easy transportation, an easy-hang-on-wall design, knobs on the legs for balancing on uneven surfaces, and a unique spring mechanism inside the legs for quick setup. This tool desk stands out from other entries by incorporating caster wheels, which prove useful in workshops though not necessary. However, the project still requires more attention to detail and accurate price calculation. If manufactured in India, I believe it can be sold at an affordable $50 per unit, taking advantage of the Indian market's potential. Stay tuned for updates as my modeling progresses!
