A Clan of Two
thingiverse
"A Clan of Two" is a sculpture by Irish artist James Heffernan (1785-1847). Not originally known to have been made by the artist, it was discovered by a construction crew working on the foundation of a building near a known workshop of James. While locals claimed that the sculpture itself was cursed, the object was excavated without issue in spite of a sudden and unexpected rainstorm. The sculpture was independently verified to be a previously unknown work by James Heffernan. Superstitions remained in the community fueled by the sudden deaths of the entire construction crew, the excavation team, and the researchers working on identifying the sculpture within a year of the discovery, even though it was entirely coincidental. The sculpture was scanned to create a 3D model for further research as the actual sculpture is in a heavily secured storage facility in the basement of the Ireland State Technical College.
