A/C Delete Firewall Grommet Plugs
thingiverse
I'm unsure what all vehicles utilize this same firewall grommet, however it was specifically designed for my front-wheel drive SR20 Nissan's since they all employ the exact same one. Therefore, I removed the A/C in my Sentra/NX2000 and disconnected the high and low pressure lines. Next, I pulled out the exchanger from under the dash box, leaving empty holes where the lines passed through the firewall. Rather than searching for OEM grommets on a non-A/C equipped model, I decided to simply print custom plugs to fit into the existing grommet already installed on my car. This is version one and I may refine it further down the line, but so far, it works perfectly. Ideally, I'd print these in TPU with a 35ish % infill to make them stiff enough to stay in place and provide better heat resistance from engine bay heat. However, I didn't feel like swapping out my PETG filament, so I used that instead with excellent results. PLA might work okay, but it may soften up due to the engine heat.
