A bowden geared extruder for Rostock - based on Gregs
thingiverse
This geared extruder is for Rostock and similar printers, using 1.75mm filament and 4mm Pneumatic fittings with PTFE tubes as the Bowden element. To assemble, print the Herringbone gears to fit Greg's design, and use this 1.75mm filament guide. Reverse the design for dual bowden extruder setup or mount it on t-slot frames. It has been running well for four months. The Sketchup file is available for remixing. A Bill of Materials includes a standard 8MM hobbed bolt, long M3 screws for pressure block springs (55mm), 1 x 35/40mm M3 screw for the pressure block, two springs or silicone pads, and a 3/8" or 10mm Pneumatic fitting with a 4mm PTFE tube. Additionally, you'll need four M3 x 10mm bolts for motors and small gear, five M3 nuts, and M3 washers, an M8 locknut, and consider Woodsmoke's version if using 3mm filament instead.
