A 'bog'-standard fake?
myminifactory
The statuette in question is part of a collection of stone figurines acquired by The British Museum during the 1930s. Initially believed to be artifacts from ancient Yemen, they were eventually identified as forgeries. Adding to the deception, it seems that the workshop responsible for creating these fakes deliberately carved them to depict someone engaged in a rather mundane activity on a toilet.
