A Better Glass Clip... With a BONUS
thingiverse
To prevent spring steel paper clips from flying off during printing, I replaced them with socket-holding clips on my glass plate. By bending one end of the clip to about 80 degrees using pliers, the clips were easily attached to the edge and surface of the glass, ensuring a secure hold without any part protruding to grab the extruder nozzle. This change eliminated the risk of damage caused by flying clips and errant extruders. Additionally, as a bonus, I included a photo of a spark plug wire separator, known as a "comb," suitable for both 4 and 8-cylinder cars. As proof of concept, I printed 24 puzzle giveaways, and one landed directly on a clip, leaving only a small indentation, demonstrating the effectiveness of the new clips.
