A better crystal radio ear piece headset
thingiverse
This is a earphone case for a head set that replaces crystal earpieces that are used for crystal radios. You can print it in any material that you have; you may have to hand drill the 2 small holes in the case to match the wire diameter you are planning to use on your piezo disk, and you will need a few drops of super glue to mount the grooved standoff to the case. Also, a machine screw and or thumb screw (I used 6/32) to match will be needed to mound the earpiece to the rails (coat hangers), make sure you glue the bolt head in place before gluing the grooved standoff to the case. This case is designed for a 50mm piezo disk. The paper spacer is not necessary between the case and the disk the cover has been upgraded to have a lip/recess to clear the piezo disk. For more details see my YouTube video titled A better crystal radio earpiece (https://youtu.be/gbfNqQ8b5vc), I have also included a cutaway assembled model to show how it is supposed to be put together.
