AUTOMATIC ABOVE GROUND POOL FILLER...got tired of constantly overfilling my pool. This clamps securely onto the edge of the pool using a toilet float, as my pool features a 16mm x 16mm metal lip concealed by plastic "beauty" pieces. The pool filler sits comfortably under the beauty panel top plates. I opted for galvanized pipe initially but strongly recommend switching to PVC; holes for the pipe and the float are precisely 23.4 mm (3/4" EMT). Once you determine the desired water level, cut your PVC pipe flush with the top bracket, which I have yet to accomplish. I also chose not to use the mid_clamp, leaving its necessity uncertain, but constructed it anyway. The total cost of this project may amount to $20 USD as of August 2018. Screw holes are 4mm in diameter and were threaded using the screw itself; the "auto_fill_top_V3" design is specifically tailored for my pool's 16 x 16 mm edge. A thick shell setting should be used if drilling out holes for bolts or pipe is necessary, as I employed a 1.6mm shell in this instance. P.S. The accompanying images depict an earlier clamp that wasn't sufficiently strong; a more robust and compact top clamp can be found in the attached files. Please note that you're on your own with the plumbing, as it can be accomplished in several different ways.
