AUTOMATIC ABOVE GROUND POOL FILLER...got tired of overfilling my pool. This clamps on the edge of the pool using a toilet float, my pool has a 16mm x 16mm metal lip hidden by plastic "beauty" pieces that protect its appearance. This pool filler sits nicely under the beauty panel top plates, making it almost invisible. I used galvanized pipe initially but recommend switching to PVC for durability and ease of use. Holes for the pipe and float are precisely cut at 23.4 mm (3/4" EMT) for a seamless fit. Once you've determined your desired water level, simply cut your PVC pipe even with the top bracket, which I haven't done yet. I didn't incorporate the mid-clamp, but it's included in case it becomes necessary later on. The overall cost of this project comes out to approximately $20 USD as of August 2018, a reasonable investment for convenience and peace of mind. Screw holes are 4mm in diameter, and I used the screw itself to self-thread the material. The "auto_fill_top_V3" design is tailored specifically to my pool's unique 16 x 16 mm edge. For added security, use a thick shell setting when drilling out holes for your bolts or pipe, which requires a 1.6mm shell. P.S. The images are of an older clamp I created that didn't quite meet my strength requirements; however, an improved version is now available in the files, showcasing a stronger and more compact design. Please note that plumbing setup can vary depending on your specific needs, so you'll need to research and execute this part independently. Maybe, just maybe someone else out there owns the same pool frame and can benefit from this auto filler solution.
