The Warthog is essentially a flying machine gun, although its construction with two jet engines positioned above the wings and a split tail unit gives it an unusual and captivating appearance. My build was crafted using a desktop CNC-machine provided by Stepcraft from 6 mm beech plywood, which featured a 1.2 mm flute with spiral-toothed cutting edges. Once glued together and sanded to perfection, this model makes for a fantastic toy that boys of all ages will thoroughly enjoy. Alternatively, a laser cutter could be an excellent tool for creating smaller versions of this plane. For more airplane models, please visit https://www.zenziwerken.de/en/Spielsachen/Flugzeugmodelle. It's essential to note that the OBJ-file provided is intended solely for validating the construction and viewing in the browser. Post-Printing I created 3-view drawings of this aircraft by copying from Wikipedia to avoid tedious tracing, then used Illustrator to define its main features. The slots were a result of trial and error. Before building the plane, I conducted a 3D validation using SketchUp, which allowed me to visualize its design in a more realistic way. Finally, I carefully nested the parts as close together as possible for efficient production on a CNC-router.
