The barrel you see here is from a striker-fired pistol I began designing when I was 15. I worked on it in Blender, completing the model just before 2014 (which took about 24 hours, but I only continued whenever inspiration struck). Numerous issues arise with this project, primarily concerning feeding; to achieve effective feed, one could switch to .380 ACP, but the low power would struggle to cycle the long recoil operation reliably. Thus, blowback seems the obvious solution, unless the lack of barrel movement prevents ejecting the casing (as this pistol's barrel has an extended part that locks and ejects).
