Nine-volt batteries require safe storage to prevent accidental short circuits of their terminals. In the classroom, they frequently get carelessly tossed into a container - this poses a fire risk. This design enables the secure storage of up to twenty 9V batteries. The boxes feature a rim for stacking and encourage students to return batteries in an orderly fashion.
