As crt404 recommended in his insightful comment, "I insert the battery from the front instead of forcing it past the retaining lugs." The angle of these lugs allows for a seamless print without requiring any support structures. To further enhance the design, I made some modifications to accommodate the battery snugly. Initially, the holder was quite loose, causing the battery to shake around inside. However, with the addition of retaining lugs, the battery is now securely fastened in place, even when the holder is inverted, preventing it from falling out. Additionally, I reinforced the walls of the holder by making them solid. This design change minimizes retractions during printing, resulting in a smoother and more precise print quality overall.
