A Swedish 9mm Parabellum bullet variant has exceptional penetration due to its robust design. It can pierce most bulletproof vests, traveling at 420 m/s from a Carl Gustaf m/45 submachine gun with a 200 mm barrel. The hard jacket increases gas pressure, which is safe in some high-pressure weapons like Glock 17 and others. Polygon-rifling is effective for controlling gas pressure. This round can penetrate over 50 layers of Kevlar. However, possession in the USA may lead to detention unless authorized; manufacturing has been transferred to a Norwegian company.
