PLEASE DOWNLOAD V2, LEAVING OLD ONE FOR PROGRESSION This is my attempt at copying a 9mm round. Not bashing the hard work of anyone else's models (granted, I didn't search too hard) but some of the dimensions seemed off and angles not accurate. This is modeled after a Hornady 9MM 124grain bullet. The case is dang near perfect compared to the real thing however the bullet itself is a little off. I am new to modeling and this definitely could use some work. I also only have a small cut out for the "primer" and was not able to model one in. (at this time, I'll likely come back and touch this up). When I printed it was still flat so I'll have to do some more experimenting. The round will properly eject and load from a mag. Any suggestions on improvements would be appreciated as well :D For printing, I only used 2 walls, have not tested this too heavily, more walls could improve strength. V2 COMMENTS 3/23: V2 simply has the actual bullet to the proper length. I had my measurements off by about .8mm. The V1 bullet still functioned properly but I also wanted to update print settings as there was a little bit of jamming that I experienced. Wall count/thickness: 3 for wall thickness of 1.2 I was wanting to have the walls be a bit stronger so that the round would last longer. I haven't had any of the 2 walls fail yet, but I'm just concerned that they may. Resolution: 120 microns (.12) The layer lines were kind of rubbing together and I am assuming that this is what was causing some jamming, going down a bit has seemed to have solved the issue. While .16 works, I would advise doing .12 for smoothness. I'm sure material also plays into this but the actions have seemed better. Infill: 50% You probably still can get away with a pretty minimal amount of infill, especially if you do the thicker walls, but I prefer the feel of them with more infill. A single round with the above settings will take about 30-45 minutes to print and at about 60 mm/s.
