Warning: Training and live ammunition should never be mixed. I like to do dry fire practice with a Pink Rhino laser training cartridge and/or a Mantis training device. Pulling the trigger then requires racking the slide on most tools. I like to train with the weight of a full magazine, reload with inert dummy rounds. The 9mm dry fire adapter allows me to rack the slide without stripping a new round out of the magazine. As an added Safety the Pink Rhino laser training cartridge plugs the chamber preventing anything new from entering and is not removed by the extractor. If I am not using a laser cartridge I put the 9mm chamber plug in as an additional safety to prevent anything from entering the chamber. You will need to use something like a cleaning rod to push it out of the barrel. This may also be helpful if your want to keep the slide from locking open when cycling on an empty magazine. (Magazine Safety) You may need to play with the size % in your slicer to get the 9mm chamber plug to have nice fit to where it won't fall out. For me it fits the tools I have tested nicely as is. I am printing on a CR-6SE 0.12mm layer height, adapter at 100% infill, Plug at 0% infill with a wall line count of 4.
