Video shows it being used to steer an rc "rover".<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/VsBDINT__o8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> This little device lets you create differential steering on two brushed dc motors using the output of a 9g servo. I needed this for an rc tank, which in other cases requires fancy electronics or arduino programming to create the steering effect. CARBON BRUSH VERSION ADDED (cheap ones from ebay) since I've had problems with the wire that was used before. If you are using wire as the brush, make sure it has good contact with the rail aka push it through the spinnie holder thing quite a bit. I recommend using the carbon brush version because it has been more reliable for me. Things to note is that there seems to be alot of resistance in the brushes. The motors run at the same rpm as before but now on a 3s versus the previous 2s. UPDATE WAITING TO HAPPEN. I need to redesign how the housing for the carbon brushes attaches to the servo. It is currently attached as if the housing was a servo horn but this has failed for me. I need to make so that the servo has a already existing premade horn attached and the housing then attaches onto that. Sorry for the delays of updates, i will work on it once I have time. If you have any upgrades of your own please post it <3
