9G - Hexapod

A hexapod robot frame set is compatible with 9G servos. View a video of this robot here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68QqBQGMqjM. In 2014, an update was made to include more photos for reference. The builder admitted that the project was not well-planned initially and parts were created as ideas came along. Epoxy-stik was used for stronger leg support, but cracking still occurred in some thinner leg areas. A thicker design may be necessary. This is the first time this project has been published on Thingiverse, so feedback is welcome. The robot uses an Arduino-based board "ExtraCore", a 32 Channel servo controller, a 6V UBEC regulator, 18 9G servos, a 2S LIPO battery, and an XBee module for electronic parts. In addition to these components, you will need 70+ M2 self-tapping screws for attaching servo horns and brackets. Drilling holes to match servo horns or arms to the legs is a tricky part that may require adjustments for better designs. Servos are connected to printed parts using either screws or by melting plastic with welding tips, though wearing a mask is advised when doing the latter due to potential health hazards. M2 screws can be found on eBay.
