99 Cent Raspberry Pi Case

This is a 99 cent Raspberry Pi case, not because it costs 99 cents, but because **it holds** 99 cents inside. There are a million Raspberry Pi cases, so why add another one? This one solves a specific problem: the Raspberry Pi is lightweight and tends to slide across the desk when connected to USB or HDMI cables. A minor tug on the wires easily knocks it out of place. This case is simply a box you can fill with pennies (11 stacks of 9 each) to add weight to the Raspberry Pi. Supports keep the pennies from rattling around inside. Included is also a shield to prevent the pennies from shorting the bottom side of the Raspberry Pi. Currently, there are no provisions for a lid on this case, so I use rubber bands to secure the Pi in place. This is quick and easy, and the rubber adds a nice non-slip base to the setup. Pre-1982 pennies are made of copper and 99 of them will add about 10.8 ounces (308 grams) to the Pi. Post-1982 pennies are largely zinc and will add about 8.7 ounces (247 grams) to the Pi. If you're like me, you separate copper pennies from zinc ones and already have 99 copper pennies easily available for use in this case.
