This adapter is specifically designed to let larger 120 mm PC fans fit onto 92 mm mount surfaces, making it possible for PCs or projects to run cooler and/or quieter by allowing even more airflow than its predecessor. The design of this thing prevents a lot of additional direct backpressure/backflow, allows for a wider spread of airflow, and doesn't leave gaps on the mount surface where air can escape. This was created to upgrade an ASIC miner: GridSeed Blade, but it should work with anything else that uses 92 mm fans. Now you can use a quieter fan without giving up vital CFM! Or upgrade to a fan with way more CFM!
