This is a speaker adapter designed specifically for 92-95 Honda Civic vehicles, allowing users to install a larger 6.5" speaker in the stock location. The adapter was modeled after a high-performance Rockford Fosgate R165x3 Prime speaker and delivers exceptional sound quality in my vehicle at present. Although there may be more superior options available, these speakers were an excellent value for their price. The adapter features a middle ring with a 145 mm diameter on top and slightly smaller dimensions on the bottom, while the outer ring measures approximately 180 mm. When attached to the car door, it is only about 1 mm taller than the original adapter. To ensure secure attachment, the design utilizes the stock screws to connect the adapter back to the door panel. This speaker adapter boasts seamless compatibility with the vehicle's windows, allowing for smooth operation even when rolled down completely. The parts were printed at a thickness of 0.3 mm in three separate sections and assembled tightly together. One ring required minimal sanding work to achieve a snug fit, resulting in a strong and secure joint. To guarantee optimal results, I highly recommend applying a thin layer of foam tape to the back of this adapter, ensuring a tighter seal against the car door. Select a foam tape that will compress easily but still maintain its shape.
