90's robotix motor coupling (without the external gear)
thingiverse
Replacing the motor coupler on a Robotix drive motor for the first time, I'm documenting my work in progress. The external gear isn't necessary if the motor isn't driving the gripper, so I won't be duplicating it. Instead, I've used calipers to match the Octagon connectors as closely as possible without scanning the old one. Since the gear output shaft is only 3mm thick, I'm not focusing on intricate details for the inner shaft hole. This will have to be drilled out later anyway, and by doing so, the piece requires fewer vertices since most of it consists of octagons.
