Cube Rotating 90 Degrees Along Its Vertical Axis. Print Settings: Printer: Vector3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 20% How I Designed This Model: This design was inspired by a code snippet I use to teach my students the basics of 3D graphics programming. The code creates a basic cube and then applies various distortions to it through multiple classes. In this case, the vertices of the cube are twisted at an increasing rate as you move up its height, reaching a maximum of 90 degrees at the top. This twisting motion effectively replaces each side with its neighbor. Several notable features make this model stand out. Firstly, the facets of the underlying triangles catch the light both in the physical model and the graphics, which suggests that my lighting model is accurate. Secondly, when held up to a light source, the model casts a circular shadow.
