90 Degree Channel/Chamfer Cutter Double Blade Holder

This tool boasts two metal blades angled at 45 degrees horizontally (and 40 degrees towards the cutting direction) to make slicing easier. I designed this tool to carve perfect 90-degree V-shaped grooves into 3mm foamed PVC with precision. It effectively removes a triangular section of material, 1.5mm deep and 3mm wide, ideal for creating sharp 90-degree heat-bends and smaller fillets. The cut is made 25mm away from the straight edge of the tool, which I accomplish using a printed spacer. To achieve clean cuts at full depth, you'll need a sturdy desk with a raised edge and some clamps in place; otherwise, the material will likely slip. This tool should also work well with other foamed or soft materials like balsa wood. You'll need: 2 pieces of a wide (20mm) utility knife (also known as a box-cutter), making sure to break them off safely and neatly. 1 short piece of standard wood broom handle (21mm diameter) or similar material. 6 small screws: 2 to secure the blades in place, 2 to attach the handle mount, and 2 to reinforce the handle. The handle and its mount are optional; you can use your fingers on the "wings," but it's very challenging to cut straight at full depth without it. The image showing the blades is from version 10 of 13, before I realized that the only suitable place for the handle is directly above the cutting area. If you'd like me to customize some dimensions specifically for you, feel free to send a message. If you decide to make this tool, I'd love to see your creation and what you used it for! Also, please consider showing your appreciation.
