9 Volt Racer
thingiverse
This project involves creating a simple autonomous vehicle using a DC motor, 9 volt battery, and 9 volt battery connector. The motor might not fit perfectly into the holder unless it's the PARSIMONIOUS & PETITE MOTOR from American Science & Surplus, but the design can be easily modified to suit your components. To assemble, print out chassis-length pieces, a motor holder, bumpers, axels, wheels, and two gears. Attach the bumpers and chassis-lengths together to form the frame. Put the motor gear onto the DC motor and insert it into the motor holder with wires protruding from the back. Slide the motor holder and motor gear onto separate axels, then attach the rear axel (with its gear) to the farthest holes on the chassis. Secure this axel with wheels and do the same for the front and middle axels. Lastly, glue the motor holder to the center of the rear axel and align the rear and motor gears before gluing them in place.
