9- Directional Array
sketchfab
The birthplace of this discipline is rooted in three independent, three-dimensional xyz systems that are rotated at a common angle of symmetry. This unified system yields a large polyhedron known as a polar zonohedron with 72 faces. Here, primary cells converge at polar vertices, resembling interconnected strings of beads. Moreover, they form concentric rings of nine cells surrounding the central axis, each cell sharing edges with adjacent cells. The empty spaces between cells can be completely filled with smaller zonohedral cells using edge directions parallel to some of the original coordinates. The white bands in this model illustrate continuous zones that permeate throughout the array.
