On the western side of Nyerges lies the most unique beehive stone in Bükkalja (H.2.e). A flat-roofed cliff cave separates this location, also named for its high rock tower, from a narrow and deep fissure. The top of this impressive riolite column is shaped like a saddle. On the southern wall of the cliff cave (I rock) and the separate block (II rock), 24 cells and cell impressions are found here. Among these beehive cells lined up in a row, some have unique shapes different from the standard ones. The 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th numbered cells – where frames are relatively well-preserved – are so shallow that their beekeeping purpose is questionable. In addition, these forward-slanted opening and back-plate cells deviate by 15-35° from the vertical axis!
