At the southern end of the Kingdom of Argor, near the border of the Black Forest of Abnoba, there is a rock formation that starts a small mountain range that gives rise to the Banba Highlands, home to the Fianna people.   In these mountains is a network of caves known for centuries as Corcu Belgotan, which housed people like the Icenis and Firbolgs, until they were driven back by legions of monstrous creatures that emerged through a planar portal, led by a one-eyed god named Balor. That's how the Fomorians emerged on Alavar and began to make their way further into the vast plains of the Kingdom of Argor, killing and burning everything in their path with their great glowing eyes.   The Fomorians are creatures from another plane who came to Alavar through an open portal in the cave of Corcu Belgotan, on the edge of the Kingdom of Argor.
