8x8 RGB Matrix Display
thingiverse
This is a straightforward enclosure that houses two [8x8 RGB LED Matrices](https://www.aliexpress.com/item/WS2812-LED-5050-RGB-8x8-64-LED-Matrix-for-Arduino/32622872541.html) as well as an [Analog Ambient Light Sensor](https://www.adafruit.com/product/1384). It includes mounting posts for a [simple PCB I designed for another project](https://github.com/WKHarmon/led-sectional/tree/master/pcb%20files) that holds a Wemos D1 Mini and components related to driving the LEDs. I've utilized this design to create a simple [weather display](https://github.com/WKHarmon/led-weather-display) as well as a device that shows the current [air traffic control delay at SFO](https://github.com/WKHarmon/sfo-delay-display). In addition to the matrices, you will need 4 countersunk M3x8mm screws and a 3mm (0.118") thick gray tint acrylic panel cut to 163mm x 97.5mm. I had one made by a local laser cutting shop, but you can also buy it on [Amazon](https://amzn.to/2BwXfiC) and cut it yourself.
