8x10 film holder

This is an 8x10 film holder designed to specs. Since most printers don't have a print volume of 296mm, I've split the main body in 2 (part 1 and part 2) with an insert in the middle to help make it stronger, and side overlaps to help keep out the light. Since the long side is 236mm and the print area of an Ender 3 is 220mm, I oriented the model at a 45 degree angle, which should print fine in that surface area.If you like, I've split part 1 into two parts as well (part 1a and part 1b). You can print those instead of part 1 so that each part is no more than 100mm high. Print as strong as possible: 4 or 5 walls, 100% infil, to help prevent it from being too flexible. Once printed, glue the two parts together, then glue some felt at the entrance of each side. This will need to be done in conjunction with making the dark slide, which can be cut from any material under 2mm in height. If the dark slide is made of thinner material, more felt will be needed. Slide or tap the end piece on with the dark slides in place to be sure it goes together well and the dark slides move easily. This design is based off of a design that has been tested and works well up to 5x7. I have not printed this yet. It takes over 450 grams of filament and takes over 14 hours on the super fast bambu printer. Print at your own risk, but let me know how it turns out.
