8mm Square Socket Knob, R8 Drawbar
thingiverse
Human: Attaches the 8mm square head of the R8 drawbar to import benchtop mini mills like the Grizzly G0758 or Precision Matthews PM25 with ease and speed. This method is far quicker than using fingers on the small drawbar head or socket. The first model features a sleeve that fits snugly over a 5/16" 8-point 1/4" drive socket, suitable for 14mm OD sockets. Install the socket into the sleeve using an arbor press, vise, or similar tool with the 1/4" drive side facing the smaller opening. A 1/4" ratchet or torque wrench is ideal for proper tightening and loosening of the drawbar. The second model boasts a knob with an integrated 8mm no-mar square socket and 1/4" drive. If made from polymer, it may deform and should not be used solely for final torquing or initial loosening of the drawbar.
