This works flawlessly, with no sideways or up/down play at all. Paper tape fits perfectly snugly into place. Holes remain clearly visible and the blue provides excellent contrast for hole detection. I plan to have reels mounted on a bar and simply slide the tape into these holders as needed. When 50 parts are gone, I can easily swap out the tape. The reel is 200 mm long, and SolidWorks source files are included. Some paper tapes are slightly thicker and require a bit of encouragement to move. Just insert a screwdriver and pull it through. Alternatively, you can edit the SolidWorks file and adjust the 1mm size to 0.6 or 0.75 millimeters. The hole remains fully visible in this design.
