I design simple 8mm rod holders that securely attach to 2020 aluminum frames using M5 bolts, which I believe measure 12mm long, as they were originally included with the Max Micron. I created these mounts a while back in Sketchup, before realizing how flawed the program is - fortunately, these designs turned out well enough.
