8mm Rod Delta Kit

8mm Rod Delta Kit

I designed a delta printer using spare parts I had on hand. My goal was to minimize the number of fasteners needed, which in turn reduced the amount of items that had to be purchased. Printer Settings: * Printer: Custom Delta * Rafts: No * Supports: No * Resolution: 200 micron * Infill: 30% Rectilinear Post-Printing Instructions: I suggest using 750mm long rods and a 12-inch bed for this build, but any size can be used. The sides are designed to accept either nine pieces of 20mm extrusion or MDF cut to size. Using MDF provides an enclosed look and is cost-effective. This printer utilizes magnetic joints to hold the rod arms in place. Bushings are secured by zip ties, while rods are held in place by belt tension. The belts are tightened by hand and pressed into position. Design Software Used: I created this design using SolidWorks 2016.
