These flexible material printed 8MM rod mounts significantly enhance vibration dampening of the Y bed movement on many i3 type printers, particularly those with a 2020 frame setup. They also show great potential in reducing noise on other frames featuring 2020 extrusions. Clearly, the bright yellow component is the flex material, while the vibrant red clamp can be printed in PLA or any other desired material. While they do offer considerable noise reduction, these mounts are not a foolproof solution. However, they do remarkably well at minimizing vibrations transmitted to the frame without introducing any unwanted slack into the carriage's movement.
