8mm Rod Clamp
pinshape
Summary This design was built on top of the original Prusa parts to mount the endstop onto the smooth rods. I redesigned it based on those components and removed the platform that held the endstop in place. The goal is to replace the black steel ring visible in the image because it cannot fit snugly onto three of my rods due to slight size discrepancies. This rod clamp takes its place, offering a solution for individuals with an x-axis design similar to mine (refer to the picture). When I attempted to print something at 50mm/s speed, one of the smooth rods slightly dislodged because there were no rod clamps in place to prevent it from being pushed out by the rapid carriage movement. This clamp utilizes M3 bolts and nuts for assembly. Instructions Print this part with full infill to achieve maximum rigidity. I printed mine on someone's printer using Zortrax Z-ABS, which should be suitable for users of conventional ABS as well.
