I conceptualized this spool as a tiny venture to instruct me in FreeCAD, also due to the fact that my partner didn't have anywhere to store the film but a cardboard box. It's specifically designed for an 8mm film rather than super 8 and includes a 1/4" compatible hole through its middle. I would be more than grateful if anyone could offer feedback or improvements on this project. Instructions I used PLA on a 0.2mm layer height with a 0.4mm nozzle, combined with a heated printbed set to 60 degrees at a temperature of 185 degrees Celsius. Step 1: Print the two halves simultaneously. Step 2: Carefully remove any parts that may potentially snag the film using a sharp utility knife. Step 3: Assemble the two halves while ensuring that the slots in the hub are properly aligned. You might find it helpful to press the halves together on a cutting board or a similar surface. Step 4: If the assembly seems loose, separate the two parts and glue them temporarily before attempting the assembly again. Step 5: Now, take a moment to enjoy your milk and settle down comfortably!
