8mm linear rail shaft
thingiverse
Hey guys! Just a quick linear rail shaft for 8 mm rods. I've also uploaded a drawing with the dimensions, so check that out if you want to know what's going on. If different dimensions are needed - like for 10 mm rods or whatever - just let me know (or drill a bigger hole). Edit: I've got an updated version with rounded corners and slightly looser tolerances to make the M3 nut fit better. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa i3 Rafts: Doesn't matter at all Supports: Doesn't matter either Resolution: 0.2 mm should work just fine Infill: I think 25% - 40% infill would be more than enough Post-Printing After you print, clean out the holes with M3 / M5 drills, then insert the rod and a M3 nut on the side, securing everything in place with a M3 screw. Use M5 screws to install it on your printer frame (like aluminium extrusions).
