I was impressed by the spring washers from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1895223 and I had a cork sheet on hand for insulation underneath my hot bed. The other solutions spanned across the entire bed, appearing overambitious to me. Four of these washers can replace the top springs' washers, effectively holding up a 4mm cork sheet beneath the bed for insulation. In the end, this modification cuts my heat-up time in half with virtually no additional effort required.
