This is an 8mm linear bearing designed to test Igus part RJZM-01-08 (http://www.igus.com/wpck/3663/drylin_r_rjum_01?C=US&L=en). The outer shell is printed in ABS, while the inner sleeve is printed in Igus Iglidur 180-PF Tribo-filament, engineered to withstand wear from repetitive motion. For more information on this specialized filament, visit http://www.igus.eu/wpck/12019/iglidur_TriboFilament?C=DE&L=en. To print the shell, use ABS material with 30% infill, 0.1mm layer height, a 250 C nozzle temperature, and a 100 C heated bed coated with a thin layer of ABS slurry. The insert was printed using identical parameters except that Igus filament and 100% infill were employed. Four versions of the sleeve are included, as testing revealed that an 8mm ID requires some sanding to fit properly. However, the 8.3mm ID sleeve fits snugly on an 8mm rod, suggesting that users may need to experiment with their printing conditions to achieve optimal results.
