8mm Adjustable Bushing

This adaptable bushing facilitates differences in printing tolerances by enabling one half to flex. Screw holes secure the flexible half in position, offering the added benefit of adjusting for wear. Screw holes are sized for an M3 screw to self-thread into place. 7/16/2017 A revised version was uploaded that includes three layers for the outer shell, with a resulting outside diameter of 15.80mm. This design prevents items such as zip ties and retaining clips from deforming it excessively. 7/4/2017 Revision 3 features the bushing half shell attached to one side of the outer shell, allowing the bearing to remain secure while still enabling movement and adjustment. This version no longer requires printing on a raft, and future revisions will be postponed as the author plans to test this bearing in their printer. The model will also be cleaned up later, as initial boolean operations caused issues with some faces. 7/3/2017 A second revision was added, featuring additional material around the screw holes and removed slopes. This design prints without issue, leaving room for zip ties, and a third revision is being worked on to retain the half shell, preventing it from sliding out.
