Yet another remix of Emmett's geared bearing is born. I've taken the original component and wrapped it in a module() function, passing in parameters to make it more versatile. By doing so, I can now use this subassembly as a plug-and-play solution in my adapter plate design. With this modular approach, inserting bearings into an SCAD model has become a breeze. The adapter plate itself was designed with precision and simplicity in mind. I merely measured the spool using calipers to get its exact dimensions, and then used that data to create the custom part.
