It can be a bit of a challenge to fit the rod between two threaded nuts, isn't it? That's where some extra space comes in - a shim here or there does the trick nicely. After you've slipped on these spacers, your Z-axis rod should be free to slide shut using those standard nuts we all know and love. Fingers crossed for smooth sailing from here!
