8BitDo N30 Pro 2 controller case
thingiverse
I designed a protective case for my prized 8BitDo N30 Pro 2 controller. This way, I can easily pack it into my luggage or suitcase without worrying about the buttons getting pressed accidentally or the controller being turned on unintentionally, which could cause damage. The outer shells of the case were printed in PLA, while the thin internal padding inserts were made from TPU to prevent any scratches that might occur if the controller moves around inside the case. With these inserts in place, the fit is precise and the controller remains stationary. For the latch, I utilized two strong round neodymium magnets that I acquired at a low cost from Amazon. These magnets are 8mm in diameter and approximately 1.8mm thick. A small drop of superglue was applied to each latch pocket to secure them firmly in place. The hinges were constructed using small pieces of PETG filament, although ABS could also be used as an alternative material. To lock the hinges into position, a tiny amount of superglue was applied to each end.
