88mm Brushed Toothpick Frame
thingiverse
This is a toothpick quad featuring 8.5mm motors and 55mm props, specifically designed to house a whoop-sized FC measuring 26 x 26mm. To access the USB port, mount the battery holder with its opening facing towards the back. I installed a Beecore V2.0 and an fx805 camera VTX combo that I already had on hand. I fabricated my own connector out of balance plugs, which only have two solid pins resulting in less voltage sag. A picture has been included to show the size difference between a ph2.0 connector and mine. Due to 3D printing limitations, printing columns that are hollow is very challenging; therefore, the Beecore must be mounted using double-sided sticky tape on the square bit in the middle of the frame, while the camera is screwed down on top of that. I'm utilizing a 600mAh battery with my custom plug modification to achieve around 3:30-4:00 minutes of flight time with ample power. I'm considering creating a mount adapter for tiny whoop batteries (250mAh) and placing two of them in parallel, so let me know if you'd like that. Also added an assembly (.iam) of the quad from Inventor 2019 (may not be compatible with earlier versions, such as 2018 or 2017).
