You get extended flight times and enhanced stability by inserting a 18650 battery holder into this enlarged compartment. The result is more than double the standard flight duration, plus reduced sensitivity to wind due to increased weight. This expanded design easily accommodates both the holder and the 18650 battery while still closing securely. To utilize this feature, you must attach a battery holder to your quad's housing. This allows for simple removal of drained batteries and replacement with fresh ones at will. Additional supports are necessary. Update: On September 5th, 2018, I enlarged the battery cover further, allowing two lipos to be parallel connected via a JST connector. A chamfer was added inside to ensure a snug fit for the secondary battery.
