This is one of the tools most frequently used in agriculture. This type of hoes is characterized by an almost trapezoidal body with a more or less curved cutting edge that slices through weeds with ease. The socket for the wooden shaft is oval shaped, allowing for a sturdy grasp. These types of artefacts are extremely common in the Dacian fortresses area of the Orăştiei Mountains, and over fifty of them have been discovered in various archaeological contexts.
