A wider spool holder for the Printrbot is offered with an 80mm base, surpassing markbrannan's upgrade but not as wide as commercial alternatives. Spool widths range from 76-79.5mm, which doesn't fit the standard 72mm holder. Modifications include larger nut holes and smaller post sizes for PLA printing, as it shrinks less than ABS. Future improvements will feature bigger text, double bearing pegs to accommodate both narrow Printrbot and wider aftermarket spools.
