IMPORTANT Read print settings before printing This is a fume scrubber for a 3D printer enclosure designed to use an 80mm computer fan and activated charcoal from any pet store. Plus a few nuts and bolts and some prefilter material, although it works fine without, probably best to keep dust out of the charcoal itself. Also, you could make the box part thinner if you were not using prefilter material as you do not need 19mm of charcoal. So far, I can't detect the smell of PLA when printing with this scrubber. After using this a few months, it eliminates the smell of PLA for me, and I finally got around to trying ABS; it cuts the smell down a lot, but it's still there, and since ABS is generally seen as not healthy to breathe, I recommend some of the other designs on here that use gas mask canisters or pumping the fumes outside. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Ebay Prusa i3 kit Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 30% Notes: For both parts, print with 1.6mm shells and 0.2mm layer height. For the grate piece, go into Cura expert settings and turn off solid infill top and solid infill bottom. This uses Cura infill generation to generate the grate itself; use 30% infill for best results. Fairly level bed is recommended.
