80mm landing gear for 25mm tube clamps
thingiverse
These clamps fit snugly on a 25mm aluminium tube, used to secure a carbon fibre motor mount to a tube arm. Their precise length was carefully determined by the style and size of the carbon fibre plate employed. The width of these clamps directly influences the width of the landing gear plate, while the length of the motor mount dictates the length of the landing gear plate - a crucial detail, as it measures 32.5mm and 52mm respectively. It's worth noting that although the pictured motor mount can accommodate 16mm, 22mm, and 25mm tube clamps, these landing gear are specifically designed for use with 25mm size clamps only. To attach the landing gear to the motor mount, simply bolt them in place using the same M3 bolts and Locknuts employed on the aluminium tube clamp. This ingenious design ensures that no extra hardware is required, and only the landing gear themselves contribute to the overall weight of the quadcopter. Despite their relatively short length of 80mm and lightweight construction, weighing in at just 12g, these landing gear are more than capable of keeping my 1200mm quad X with 22'' blades aloft even during a rough landing at a 30-degree angle - a truly impressive feat. They're also an excellent choice for taking off from grassy terrain.
